Contaminated Site Management Course - Theory, Practice & Outdoor Demonstrations - June 5-9, 2017 - Toronto, Canada

GOwen Environmental is interested in highly qualified interns to support this Course and other professional development programs. Position responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and administrative support before and during the Course.
  • Support during the outdoor demonstration day.
  • Support for set-up and take down of the nightly computer workshops.
  • Coordination or attendance and support for social functions during the event.
  • Database management.

Opportunities to take part in environmental project management meetings with Canadian, American and foreign government officials and executives, in the environmental industry.

The ideal candidate should be a mature graduate student or undergraduate upperclass person with excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and an interest in international trade and/or environment. The candidate must be familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the World Wide Web. Additional computer/software experience, web design and photo processing skills are valuable but not required. Interns must be currently enrolled in a degree or diploma earning college/university program or an unemployed environmental professional.

Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week for one month prior to the course, and full days during the period of June 5-9, 2017. These positions are unpaid. Selected candidates may be mentored for six months after their internship.
